Soil Boring & Sampling (Geoprobe®)

This versatile drilling method helps investigate soil quickly and efficiently for contaminated soil, groundwater and soil gas samples.

Spartan Drilling Step-by-Step Process

When selecting Spartan Drilling for your services we use top-of-the-line machinery for collecting soil, groundwater and soil gas samples. Spartan Drilling areas of expertise include Soil Boring and Sampling. This is an adaptable drilling method that services many different functions. Our process begins with a selected drilling location that is given with our consultant/clients assistance. While on-site, our Spartan Drilling team determines if we need to use a 54LT (Geoprobe) or 7822 (Geoprobe) machine, both help us penetrate the surface area that was selected. The function of the 54LT and 7822 Geoprobe allows us to break through materials such as sand, concrete or asphalt. Each machine can reach a depth of 5 feet below surface grade (bsg) at minimum and up to 25 feet surface grade (bsg) maximum. Throughout the journey into the ground, soil samples are being collected at 5ft intervals for testing. Spartan Drilling retrieves all the samples, cases them in sealed containers and delivers them to the consultant/client on-site. Process follows by filling in the hole with sand, concrete or asphalt which is decided by the client.

The Difference between 54LT (Geoprobe) vs. 7822 (Geoprobe)

Spartan Drilling has access to multiple machines, all used for a different purpose. Our 54LT (Geoprobe) is defined as a Direct Push Machine. This strong drill is a compact probing unit intended for tight spaces, it can even fit through a standard 36-in doorway. The 54LT features a Probe Cylinder Speed Control Valve making it easy to push through terrain at a consistent speed. This high-quality feature increases the accuracy of testing the soil. Our 7822 (Geoprobe) presents a High-Capacity Direct Push Machine. This machine is built with a narrow platform making it easier to use in a limited access area. The 7822 is designed to be dependable, expandable and perform at a high volume. It also has the adaptability of work roles including environmental, geotechnical, or exploration work.

At Spartan Drilling we deliver dependable equipment, experienced professional drillers, fast and flexible scheduling. Our Spartans are prepared to tackle any obstacle below industry rates. Spartan Drilling is here to help you! Give us a call today and we can get started.
